Argentina to face World Champions in Nelspruit in 2024 Rugby Championship

Argentina will take on South Africa in Nelspruit on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The match will be part of the annual Rugby Championship. Los Pumas will also have a home match against the World Champions in next year.

The 2024 Rugby Championship will be similar to that of 2022. There will not be home-and-away matches between all teams; rather, South Africa will host New Zealand twice and face Australia away twice. Argentina will have the reverse; Los Pumas face the All Blacks twice in New Zealand and the Wallabies twice in Argentina.

South Africa previously played host to Argentina in Nelspruit in 2016. The Springboks won a competitive contest 30-23 with a late try. Matías Orlando, and Santiago Cordero were try scorers for Los Pumas that day. The 2024 match will be the second-ever between South Africa and Argentina in Nelspruit.
