Los Teros change five for Paraguay

Uruguay have made five changes to their starting side to play Paraguay tomorrow in Asunción during the second round of the South American ‘A’ Championship. Los Teros will look to build on their impressive 36-14 win over Brazil last weekend ahead of the crucial third-round tie against Chile on May 7.

Ignacio Secco wins his first test start in place of Mateo Sanguinetti at loosehead prop. Ignacio Dotti replaces Diego Magno, combining with Diego Ayala to form one of the tallest second rows in recent Uruguayan history. On the flank Joaquín Dell’Acqua of Montevideo Cricket Club makes his test debut taking over from Juan Diego Ormaechea.

Nicolas Freitas moves to his more accustomed spot of inside centre, with Facundo Klappenbach asked to cover scrumhalf from the bench. Santiago Martinez fills the opening on the left wing, and Rodrigo Silva is recalled to fullback at the expense of Federico Favaro.

Former national u20 prop Diego Arbelo is poised to make his senior international debut from the bench, as is Montevideo utility back Marcos Brovetto. Veteran loose forward Fernando Bascou has also among the reserves.

The match kicks off at 16:30 local time and will be broadcast live on DirecTV.
