Dogos Turn SRA upside-down with away win over Pampas

Super Rugby Americas leaders Los Pampas suffered their first defeat of the season on Friday. Playing at home in Buenos Aires, Los Pampas were unable to secure any competition points against Los Dogos. The visitors from Córdoba were 22-8 winners.

MATCH NOTES
  • Los Dogos scored all of the first-half points. The visitors were 9-0 ahead thanks to three penalties.
  • Both teams scored one tru each in the second-half. Federico Lavanini scored in the 45th minute and Lautaro Cipriani did so in the 66th minute. Cipriani’s try came from an intercept from center Leonardo Gea Salim. The center also made a try scoring tackle in the second-half.
  • Juan Bautista Baronio kicked six goals for Los Dogos, scoring 17 points.
  • Pumas tight head Pedro Delgado had troubles at the scrum, conceding a penalty.
  • Dogos captain, Valentín Cabral was helped off the field after suffering an injury.
