NOTES
  • The teams faced-off in two warm-up matches in February. Los Dogos won both.
  • Los Dogos won their previous match. It was their first win of SRA 2025.
  • Los Tarucas won their opening match of the season but are now on a three match losing-streak.
  • Agustín Moyano has five tries thus far in SRA 2025. He and Los Tarucas’ hooker Juan Manuel Vivas are tied for top try scorer in the league this season. Vivas has been a lineout to maul specialist.
  • Vivas is one of two players with two yellow cards this season. The other is Peñarol flanker Lucas Bianchi.
  • Tomás Bartolini starts in placed of Vivas and leads the team. Stefano Ferro, who was captain against Selknam, has been replaced by Juan Manuel Molinuevo.
  • Juan Bautista Baronio has 13 conversions for the season. He kicked 8/8 against Os Cobras and scored a try.
  • Argentina’s scrum-half situation means the battle between Agustín Moyano and Simón Benítez Cruz is one to follow closely.
  • Another key clash in the backs comes at inside center with notable youth going head-to-head in the form of Faustino Sánchez Valarolo and Tomás Medina.
PREDICTION

Both teams have combative forward packs with the scrum and maul set to be hard fought areas. There is plenty of dangerous runners in both backlines to look forward to. The early season heat is not expected to be present in Córdoba on Monday. The arrival of rain and lower temperatures will make for more comfortable conditions for the players. Los Dogos are favorites to win in Córdoba.
