Argentina XV to face Bristol Bears in November

In addition to Los Pumas, Argentina’s next-of-XV will also play international rugby during the 2025 November Internationals. The Bristol Bears will have home advantage against the Argentina XV at Ashton Gate Stadium on Friday, November 07. The match is positioned two days before Los Pumas face Wales in Cardiff.

The match is positioned inside the November Player Release window. This means that the Argentina XV will be free to include players who are not on Felipe Contepomi’s roster at the time. The Argentina XV’s tour of Portugal and Georgia in July 2022 included regular Pumas today such as Franco Molina, Joaquín Oviedo, Tomás Albornoz, and Mateo Carreras.

The Bristol Bears play in the English Premiership. Felipe Contepomi began his professional rugby playing career at the club. He played for Bristol from 2001-2003. Today the club is home to Pumas Santiago Grondona and Pedro Rubiolo as well as the uncapped Argentine duo of Benjamín Grondona and Benjamín Elizalde.

The Grondona’s and Elizalde were included in Contepomi’s training camp this week in London. Rubiolo was not considered due to injury. Contepomi is presently preparing for the July Internationals. This year they start in June for Argentina as Los Pumas face the British & Irish Lions in Dublin, Ireland before home matches against England and Uruguay in July.
