NOTES
  • It is the first SRA match in which Los Tarucas play against an Argentine opponent.
  • Players from both teams were Pumitas in the 2024 Junior World Championship.
  • Tomás Bartolini will debut for Los Tarucas as a replacement. He was the starting hooker in the 2024 championship winning Dogos. Fellow debutant Juan Manuel Molinuevo joined this season from Yacare.
  • Bartolini replaced Diego Fortuny who is the only Puma on the roster.
  • With Los Pumas now down a scrum-half, added attention will be placed on the scrum-half battle. Both Simón Benítez Cruz and Eliseo Morales are candidates. The later has 1 cap.
PREDICTION

Los Tarucas will enter the match fully aware of the task they face; Los Pampas were excellent against Peñarol. They will need to get back to the basics which saw them produce a statement win first up against Os Cobras. This is a contest between one team that is still adjusting against one with experience and direction. Los Pampas are slight favorites to win in Tucumán.
