- Meanwhile, Pampas flanker Manuel Bernstein has played a lot in the second-row and Federico Lavanini will continue his career in France.
- Rodríguez’ season ending injury adds to the list of sidelined Peñarol players. Among them is national captain Andrés Vilaseca who Uruguay will want 100% for the RWC 2027 Qualifiers.
- Peñarol fullback Manuel Cardoso Pinto is the only European player in SRA. Cardoso Pinto is one of 15 capped players in Peñarol’s 23.
- 2024 Pumas debutants Joaquín Moro and Justo Piccardo start for Los Pampas.
- Replacements Mateo Albanese and Francisco González Capdevilla are looking for their first taste of SRA this season.

PREDICTION |
The players will be exposed to the elements. Rain and a thunder storm are forecast for Buenos Aires. With Peñarol’s scrum having been exposed against Yacare, Los Pampas should have a platform from which to exploit. An improved showing fro the side side is expected; nonetheless, Peñarol are favorites to win in Buenos Aires.
