Los Pumas will have home advantage for both test matches against the All Blacks in the 2025 Rugby Championship. The matches will be played on August 16 at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes in Córdoba, and on August 23 at Estadio Vélez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires. Both will kick-off at 6pm local time.
Pictured below, the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes will play host to the All Blacks for the first-time. The Córdoba stadium first hosted Los Pumas in 2003 with Argentina defeating Fiji 49-30. The venue also hosted home matches in 2006, 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2014. The Estadio Mario Kempes has a capacity of 57,000.

Córdoba’s debut in the Rugby Championship has been a long time coming; the inaugural Rugby Championship was played in 2012. The city is Argentina’s second largest and is home to the Super Rugby Americas champions, Los Dogos.
Securing the fixture required a bid from the local government. The city demonstrated that it is prepared due to having a well-connected airport, hotels (the All Blacks will stay at the Quinto Centenario), and location making it accessible for domestic visitors.
Córdoba has been a great production line for Los Pumas. Past Pumas from Córdoba include Topo Rodríguez, Alejandro Allub, and Francisco Leonelli. Contepomary Pumas from Córdoba include Matías Alemanno, Santiago Carreras, Juan Cruz Mallía, Franco Molina and Joaquín Oviedo.
Argentina’s other home match against New Zealand will be at the familiar Estadio Vélez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires. The venue was well-known to New Zealanders as it was the home venue of Los Jaguares in Super Rugby.
It is the regular home venue for Los Pumas in Buenos Aires. It played host to a test match against France in 2024. Former Crusaders flanker Pablo Matera earned his 100th cap that day for Argentina. The stadium last played host to a Pumas vs All Blacks match in 2019. New Zealand were 20-16 winners. The next time the teams locked horns was the historic 25-15 Pumas win in Sydney, Australia.
