Springboks and Pumas Get 2025 Durban Date

South Africa’s home match against Argentina in 2025 will be in Durban. The city on South Africa’s east coast will play host to the Springboks vs Los Pumas clash on September 27. It is one of two matches between the teams in the 2025 Rugby Championship. The other match will be played in London, England on October 04.

The Springboks are the reigning Rugby Championship champions. They won five out of their six matches in the 2024 competition, lifting the trophy with a home win over Argentina in Nelspruit. The one defeat was in Santiago del Estero with Argentina claiming a famous win in hot conditions.

In addition to being the reigning Rugby Championship champions, South Africa are also the World no 1 and are double defending Rugby World Cup champions. South Africa won Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan and Rugby World Cup 2023 in France. The two titles follow wins in 1995 at home and in 2007 in France. The Springboks’ four titles are a World Record.

South Africa’s 2025 fixtures will see three home matches in July and three more during the Rugby Championship. South Africa play host to Gonzalo Quesada’s Italy in Pretoria and Port Elizabeth and subsequently face Georgia in Nelspruit.

The Springboks’ three Rugby Championship home games will be against Australia and Argentina. The Springboks face the Wallabies in Johannesburg and Cape Town in August and host Argentina in Durban in September.

The World Champions’ three away matches will be two away games against the All Blacks in New Zealand and the aforementioned match against Argentina in the UK.
