Argentina will have a busy year of international rugby competition in 2025. Los Pumas will play matches as part of the July Internationals, the Rugby Championship and the November Internationals. In total, Argentina will play thirteen test matches in 2025.
 JULY INTERNATIONALS 2025 |
Argentina’s July Internationals will be expanded upon in 2025. The mid-year series of test matches will begin, for Los Pumas, in June. Los Pumas will be a part of the 2025 British & Lions Tour. Argentina will take-on the combined team of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales in a match in Dublin, Ireland on Friday, June 20. The fixture will fall outside of the player release window which will mean restrictions on player availability, particularly for Top 14 players.
Los Pumas will fly home to Argentina for three home matches following the match in Dublin. Argentina are set to play host to England in a two match series at La Plata and San Juan. Argentina’s remaining home match will be against Uruguay. The venue is yet to be finalized though ARN understands it will be played in Salta.
   RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 |
Argentina will open Rugby Championship 2025 at home against New Zealand. In a reverse of the 2024 tournament, the South Americans will play two matches against the All Blacks before traveling to Oceania to face Australia in two away matches. The final two rounds will again be home-and-away against South Africa.
The two matches will take-place in the country’s largest cities, Buenos Aires and Córdoba. The second largest city, Córdoba, hosts the August 16 clash while the capital will play host to game two on August 23.
Córdoba and Buenos Aires secured the matches ahead of Mendoza and Santiago del Estero. The outcome means Córdoba’s Estadio Mario Kempes will play host to the All Blacks for the first time. Argentina’s first match at the venue was against Fiji in 2003 while the most recent match was against Scotland in 2014.
Following the home series against New Zealand, Los Pumas will play an away series against the Wallabies. Australia will play host to Argentina on Saturday September 06 at North Queensland Stadium in Townsville and on Saturday September 13 at the Sydney Football Stadium in Sydney.
The two match series against South Africa will have a new look. The teams will clash in Durban on September 27 before flying north to the UK for game two. That match will be played at London’s Twickenham Stadium on October 04.

Los Pumas’ year will conclude with a three match European tour in November. It is to be an all-UK series with Argentina face Wales, Scotland and England over the course of consecutive Sundays. The matches will be at the homes of Welsh Rugby, Scottish Rugby and English Rugby: Millennium Stadium (Cardiff), Murrayfield (Edinburgh) and Twickenham (London).
The end of year series will be the final opportunity for all teams to gain rankings points ahead of the final cut-off point before the draw for Rugby World Cup 2027. The rankings as of November 30 will be used for the seedings. The draw itself will take place in either December 2025 or January 2026.
