Argentine Coaches Named for Super Rugby Americas 2025

Argentine coaches have been named in charge of the three nationals teams for Super Rugby Americas 2025. Los Pampas, Los Dogos and, debutants, Los Tarucas will all be coached by notable rugby people from Argentina. Super Rugby Americas 2025 will begin on February 14, 2025 and run until June with the final taking place on June 13.

Super Rugby Americas has helped the development of Pumas. Tomás Albornoz, Efraín Elías, Juan Martín González, Franco Molina, Joaquín Oviedo, Pedro Rubiolo, and Ignacio Ruiz are all instances of former Super Rugby Americas players.

The capital city side is Los Pampas. The Buenos Aires team will again be coached by former Puma Juan Manuel Leguizamón. The veteran of Rugby World Cups 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019 will be assisted by Nicolás Vergallo and Rodrigo Martínez.

Los Dogos are based in Argentina’s second largest city, Córdoba. Los Dogos are the reigning Super Rugby Americas Champions. The team will need rebuilding with captain Franco Molina now at Exeter Chiefs and Efraín Elías at Toulouse.

The franchise will again be coached by Nicolás Galatro. His assistants are also unchanged with Stefano Ambrosio and Diego Ghiglione continuing on.

The third, and new, franchise is Los Tarucas. Based in Tucumán, the team is representative of NOA, Argentina’s northwest. Former Racing 92 and Pumas flanker Álvaro Galindo will be Head Coach. He joins from Los Pumitas. Diego Vidal and Diego Trenavasio are his assistants.
