Argentina Rugby Fixtures 2025

Argentina will have a busy year of international rugby competition in 2025. Los Pumas will play matches as part of the July Internationals, the Rugby Championship and the November Internationals. In total, Argentina will play thirteen test matches in 2025.

JULY INTERNATIONALS 2025

Argentina’s July Internationals will be expanded upon in 2025. The mid-year series of test matches will begin, for Los Pumas, in June. Los Pumas will be a part of the 2025 British & Lions Tour. Argentina will take-on the combined team of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales in a match in Dublin, Ireland on Friday, June 20. The fixture will fall outside of the player release window which will mean restrictions on player availability, particularly for Top 14 players.

Los Pumas will play three matches in South Africa after the match in Dublin. Argentina are set to play host to England in a two match series. Lisandro Olearo reports that Rosario is being allocated one of Los Pumas’  home test matches against England.

Rosario last played host to a test match in 2013. It was Felipe Contepomi’s retirement; a home Rugby Championship match against Australia. The 2025 match against England will be played on Saturday, July 12. Both Rosario Central and Parque Independencia are being considered.

Argentina’s two other July Internationals will be either side of the July 12 fixture. Similar to the 2024 Fixtures, Argentina will play twice against a visiting Six Nations opponent before playing an away test match against a neighbor. The weekend of July 19/20 will see Los Pumas facing Chile in an away test match.

RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP 2025

Argentina will open Rugby Championship 2025 at home against New Zealand. In a reverse of the 2024 tournament, the South Americans will play two matches against the All Blacks before traveling to Oceania to face Australia in two away matches. The final two rounds will again be home-and-away against South Africa.

Lisandro Olearo notes that three cities are being considered to host to Los Pumas vs New Zealand: Mendoza, Santiago del Estero and Buenos Aires. Los Pumas are expected to play the first match outside of the capital and the second in Buenos Aires. In other words, either Mendoza or Santiago del Estero is likely to host the All Blacks on August 16 with Buenos Aires hosting the second test match on August 23.

The two match series against the Wallabies has been confirmed. Australia will play host to Argentina on Saturday September 06 at North Queensland Stadium in Townsville and on Saturday September 13 at the Sydney Football Stadium in Sydney.

The two match series against South Africa will have a new look. Argentina is moving the match north. Los Pumas are in the final stages of negations with England Rugby (RFU) to play the match at Twickenham Stadium. The UAR is exhaustively analyzing the proposal from the RFU. Argentina previously played a Rugby Championship match against Australia in London in 2016.

NOVEMBER INTERNATIONALS 2025

Los Pumas’ year will conclude with a three match European tour in November. No matches have been confirmed; however, Argentina is expected to face England in London, Wales in Cardiff and Scotland in Edinburgh. The official dates of these matches are unconfirmed as is the match order.
