Gonzalo Quesada has confirmed a 34-man roster for the November Internationals. Italy play home test matches against Argentina, Georgia and New Zealand. The opening match will be historic with Quesada up against Felipe Contepomi’s Pumas. Quesada and Contepomi were teammates for Argentina at Rugby World Cups 1999 and 2003.
Italy face Argentina in Udine on Saturday, November 09. Subsequent matches will be in Genoa and Torino against the Lelos and the All Blacks on November 17 and 23 respectively.
The roster features the return of fly half Tommaso Allan and tight head prop Pietro Ceccarelli. Allan is the most capped player with 80 appearances for Italy. There are also call-ups for scrum-half Alessandro Fusco and second-rower Dino Lamb. Argentine Juan Ignacio Brex will look to add to his 38 caps.
