Damián Schneider Appointed Referee for France vs Japan

Damián Schneider will referee France v Japan in November 2024. The appointment is for a test match in Paris on Saturday, November 09. The appointment sees an Argentine in charge of a fixture involving one Tier 1 competitor for the first time in multiple Rugby World Cup cycles.

Schneider will be in France all ahead of the test match. He will also referee the 9th round Top 14 match between La Rochelle and Stade Français on Saturday, November 02. Additional preparation has also included him refereeing in New Zealand’s NPC in September. Earlier in the year, Schneider refereed in the Pro D2.

In addition to taking charge of France vs Japan, Schneider will also be an assistant referee for two November Internationals. On Sunday, November 17 he will be assistant in Genoa for Italy vs Georgia while on Saturday, November 23, the Argentine will be an actant for Wales vs South Africa in Cardiff.
