New Zealand Roster Named for 2024 Rugby Championship

All Blacks Head Coach Scott Robertson has named a 36-man roster for the 2024 Rugby Championship. New Zealand’s campaign will begin at home with two matches against Argentina in August. The All Blacks will host Los Pumas in Wellington on August 10 and Auckland on August 17.

All players have been selected from New Zealand’s Super Rugby franchises. Ardie Savea has recently transferred from the Hurricanes to Moana Pacifica. This gives the Moana Pacifica team a many All Blacks as the Highlander as Ethan De Groot is the only Highlander selected. The remaining players, aside from Savea and De Groot, are Blues, Chiefs, Crusaders or Hurricanes players.

Robertson’s roster contains uncapped player Ruben Love. There is also a recall for Rugby World Cup 2023 captain Sam Cane. He missed the July Internationals through injury as did Will Jordan and David Havili who are also both included.

New captain Scott Barrett is included though will miss out on facing Argentina. Barrett was injured in the July test match against Fiji in San Diego, California. He brother, Beauden Barrett, is the most capped player on the roster with 126 caps.
