Rodrigo Isgró Free to Play vs France in Olympics Quarter Final

Rodrigo Isgró is back for Los Pumas 7’s. Having served his suspicion, the Argentine is free to play against France in the Olympics Quarter Final. Argentina take-on the host nation in an elimination match on Thursday at 4:30pm (Argentine time).

Argentina reached the Quarter Finals after advancing from the group stage. Los Pumas 7’s defeated Kenya 31-12 and Samoa 28-12 but all 22-14 against Australia. The result place Argentina in second place in the pool.

Rodrigo Isgró was unable to play during the pool stage. He was seeing out his suspension which has now been completed. As such, he is now free to play and officially comes in from being a traveling replacement. He takes the spot of Germán Schulz who suffered a grade 2 sprained knee.

The addition of Isgró could be huge for Argentina. Isgró was the 7’s World Rugby Player of the Year in 2023. He was called-up from Los Pumas 7’s to Los Pumas. He debuted against Australia in the 2023 Rugby Championship and was selected for the World Cup, scoring in the win over Chile in Nantes.
