Chicago to Land Ireland vs New Zealand Rematch in 2025

With the USA being the host country of Rugby World Cup 2031, there are significant efforts into taking major matches stateside. Arrangements are taking place for Chicago to host Ireland vs New Zealand in 2025. Soldier Field was the venue in which Ireland claimed their first-ever win over the All Blacks in 2016.

The home of the Chicago Bears in NFL has been selected again for the Chicago vs New Zealand 2025 fixture. It will again be positioned in the end-of-year internationals, probably in the opening weekend of November.

The USA Eagles will not face either Ireland or New Zealand in Chicago in November 2025, but the National Men’s side may face England in July. This match would be similar to the USA’s July 2024 home game against Scotland. England are expected to tour Argentina for two test matches, thus facing the USA beforehand.

Tours for the July 2025 Internationals are currently being decided upon. As noted, there are no existing plans for England to replicate Scotland’s July 2024 tour which, in addition to the USA match, saw Scotland facing Canada in Ottawa, Chile in Santiago and Uruguay in Montevideo.

Ireland will not be touring North America to face either Canada or the USA. Instead, Ireland’s July test matches are set to be away games agains Romania and Georgia.
