Argentina Roster for Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Los Pumas 7’s are ready for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Head Coach Santiago Gómez Cora announced a twelve-man roster and two traveling replacements to represent Argentina in Paris from July 24 to July 27.

The twelve players include the return of Marcos Moneta and Matías Osadzcuk. Both have recovered from injuries. They missed the Gran Final tournament in Madrid, Spain. Joaquín Pellandini has been declared fit. He suffered a shoulder injury at the tournament in Madrid.

Gómez Gora has named Santiago Álvarez Fourcade as captain. He and Germán Schulz and Gastón Revol are to compete in the Olympic Games for the third time. The featured at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and in Tokyo, Japan. Argentina won Bronze in the Olympics 2021.

On the flip side, the roster also contains players debuting at the Olympics. Argentina’s rookie Olympians are Tomás Elizalde, Agustín Fraga, Matteo Graziano, Joaquín Pellandini and Tobías Wade.

The traveling replacements are Santiago Vera Feld, and Rodrigo Isgró. The latter represented Argentina at Rugby World Cup 2023. He is serving a suspension but will be clear to play in the play-off’s if Argentina perform all in the group stage.
