Chile Coaching Staff for 2024

Chile has confirmed the coaching staff of Los Cóndores for 2024. The Chilean National Men’s Rugby Team sees Pablo Lemoine joined by four others in preparation for the upcoming international duty. Chile will play home test matches against Hong Kong, Belgium and Scotland in July.

CHILE COACHING STAFF

Following Chile’s debut tournament appearance at the Rugby World Cup, Lemoine was retained as Head Coach. The Uruguayan’s new four-year deal in charge of Los Cóndores starts with an unprecedented three-match home series against intercontinental touring sides.

Preparation for the matches against Hong Kong, Belgium and Scotland sees two Argentines, a New Zealander and a World Cup Chilean on Lemoine’s staff. Rugby World Cup 2007 Puma Federico Todeschini is Assistant Head Coach and in charge of kicking. As a Puma, Todeschini scored a notable 256 points in just 21 appearances.

Former Los Pumas 7’s player Nicolás Bruzzone also has two roles under Lemoine. Bruzzone is the Rugby Manager and also in charge of the defense. He is a previous Head Coach of Selknam in Super Rugby Americas. The role went to New Zealander Jake Mangin in 2024. Mangin is now Attack Coach under Lemoine.

The fifth member of the coaching regime is Matías Garafulic. The first choice Chilean inside center was injured playing for Selknam in 2024. He has not returned from playing but will be unable to play for Los Cóndores in July. This has seen a special circumstance wherein Lemoine has appointed him as assistant coach.
