Super Rugby Americas Final 2024 – Pampas vs Dogos – ARN Guide

There will be a new Super Rugby Americas Champion. The 2024 Final will be contested between Los Pampas and Los Dogos on Saturday in Buenos Aires. The two teams were, without question, the best two of the regular season. How they got to the final, though was different; Los Pampas romped past Peñarol while Los Dogos defeated Yacare in sudden death.

PUMAS IN WAITING

Americas Rugby News firmly believes that there are players from both Los Pampas and Los Dogos who are in the frame for international duty in 2024 and beyond. Considering the needs of the team, focused around player management for July, the following are the best placed for Los Pumas selection in July 2024:

– Nicolás D’Amorim (flanker), Joaquín Moro (N8), Justo Piccardo (inside center)
– Franco Molina (second-row), Agustín Moyano (scrum-half), Mateo Soler (fullback)

NOTABLE ABSENTEES

– Eliseo Morales, Marcos Eliçagaray
– N/A

NOTES
  • The teams met in a pre-season match with Los Dogos winning 38-21.
  • The regular season results were split with both teams winning away.
  • Juan Manuel Leguizamón has retained the same line-up from the Semi Final.
  • Nicolás Galatro has also named an unchanged line-up. The same XV that started the Semi Final will start the final.
  • Puma Eliseo Morales has not been selected. The scrum-half, who debuted in November 2022, played just one match all season for Los Pampas.
  • Felipe Contepomi and his staff have been attending SRA matches throughout the season.
PREDICTION

Los Pampas are clear favorites to win the Super Rugby Americas 2024 Final. The Buenos Aires side has blasted their way past every opposition team this season. Los Dogos’ win early-on in the season was the only defeat that the team endured. In addition to the results, the rugby played has been impressive. Leguizamón’s team have been very creative in the backs and deadly from both close and long range. ARN projects Los Pampas to win the final by 12+ points.
