Omar Hasan to Perform La Marseillaise at Pro D2 Final

Former Puma Omar Hasan will perform La Marseillaise at the Pro D2 Final. The 2024 French second division Final will be contested between Vannes and Grenoble in Toulouse on Saturday at 5:30pm.

The winner of the Pro D2 Final will earn promotion to the Top 14. There will be South Americans involved. Uruguayan captain Andrés Vilaseca starts at outside center while former Puma Bautista Ezcurra starts at inside center for Grenoble.

Ezcurra will not be the only Puma involved in the Final. Francisco Gorrissen captains Vannes. If Vannes win the team will play in the French elite for the first-time. Gorrissen will be joined in the back-row by uncapped Argentine Juan Bautista Pedemonte.

Hasan is a former Toulouse player. The now 53-year-old from Tucuman, Argentina played for Toulouse from 2004-2008. He won the European Champions Cup with Toulouse in 2005 and the Top 14 in 2008.

His rugby career also aw him playing professionally for Agen as well as the Brumbies in Super Rugby and in New Zealand for Wellington. In 2007 was part of the historic Argentina team that won Bronze at the Rugby World Cup.
