Mallía Double as Toulouse March Into Champions Cup Semi Finals

Toulouse booked a Home European Champions Cup Semi Final. The Top 14 side put on a second half demolition of English Premiership side the Exeter Chiefs. The 64-26 result means a Semi Final against the Harlequins next month.

Stade Toulousain finished with nine tries compared to two scored by the Exeter Chiefs. Juan Cruz Mallía scored two late in the second-half. The Puma also provided a try assist. His strong performance also included 45 running meters with ball in hand.

Juan Cruz Mallía played the match on the right wing. His usual position for Argentina is fullback though he has proven to be a true utility. He has played for Argentina, Toulouse or both at fullback, wing, inside center, outside center and fly half.

Santiago Chocobares joined Mallía in the Toulouse backline as a replacement. Both men are likely to be prominent members of Los Pumas in 2024. Argentina start their year against France and Uruguay in July.
