Argentina has confirmed a 31-man roster for the u20 Rugby Championship. Coached by former Pumas flanker Álvaro Galindo, Los Pumitas will face Australia, New Zealand and South Africa at u20 level in May in Australia.
The competition comes in the lead-up to the World Rugby u20 Championship. South Africa will host the tournament from June 29 to July 19. It is hoped that the u20 Rugby Championship will serve as preparation which can lift the levels of the four Southern Hemisphere teams.
Los Pumitas will compete in Pool C of the 2024 World Rugby u20 Championship. The group also contains England, Fiji and South Africa. The senior teams from all four were involved in the Quarter Finals of Rugby World Cup 2023.
Galindo’s rosters players from both Los Dogos and Los Pampas. They include Tomás Di Biase, Efraín Elías, Benjamín Elizalde, Faustino Sánchez Valarolo, and Valentín Soler Filloy.
