Argentina has gone for modern stadiums for home internationals during the 2024 Rugby Championship. Los Pumas will face Australia in La Plata and Santa Fé and take-on South Africa in Santiago del Estero. Two of the three are first-time host cities while all three stadiums will be making their debuts for Pumas matches in the competition.

Argentina’s first home match will be on August 31. Los Pumas will take-on Australia in La Plata. The match will mark the fourth time that Argentina have played a Rugby Championship match in the city. The most recent time was a decade ago; Argentina faced New Zealand in 2014, losing 34-13.
Argentina also faced New Zealand in La Plata in 2012 and 2013. All three of these matches took place at the Estadio Único de La Plata. The 2024 match against Australia will be at a different stadium. The Estadio Jorge Luis Hirschi (UNO) will play host to Los Pumas for the first time.
The stadium is the home of Club Estudiantes de La Plata. Having opened in 1907, it has a long history; however, it was remodeled in 2019. It has a capacity of 32,530. Argentina’s match against the Wallabies will kick-off at 4pm.
Los Pumas and the Wallabies will play again seven days later. They will travel from the Rio del la Plata to Santa Fé. The match will be on September 07 at the Estadio Brigadier General Estanislao López. The venue was upgraded for the 2011 Copa America.
Kick-off is also confirmed for 4pm. The venue has a capacity of 45,000. It has been used by Argentina in the past during the mid-year International Windows. The most recent occasion was in 2018 against Wales.
Santa Fé is the capital city of the Santa Fé province. The province’s largest city is Rosario. It hosted Rugby Championship matches in 2012 and 2013 but has not done so since.

Argentina’s final home Rugby Championship match will be against the World Champions. Los Pumas will play host to the Springboks on September 21 in the northern city of Santiago del Estero. The Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades previously hosted Argentina vs Scotland in 2022.
The match will be a rare evening fixture; Los Pumas vs South Africa will kick-off at 6pm. The stadium has a capacity for 30,000 spectators. The venue opened in 2021.
