  • Second-rowers Felipe Aliaga and Juan Manuel Rodríguez remain injured. In their place are two back-rowers. Rodríguez is suspended. Specialist Agustín Morales will feature as a replacement.
  • Twelve Peñarol players are capped. No Dogos are capped though this is expected to change as captain Franco Molina is on the 2024 roster. Others may join him.
PREDICTION

Peñarol’s 2024 season has not seen the same level of rugby as 2023 or 2022. The 2024 version of the team is missing names who are now playing abroad as well as a shuffle to manage Los Teros 7’s athletes. Meanwhile, Los Dogos are hungry for success. The Córdoba side has been the best team so far in Super Rugby Americas 2024. Los Dogos are favorites to win and to secure a bonus point.
