Bristol with MacGinty win despite Carreras Snatch

The Bristol Bears won the derby 33-24 against Gloucester on Saturday. The match featured an Americas battle at fly half; AJ MacGinty played 10 for Bristol and Santiago Carreras did so for Gloucester. Both men kicked four goals.

MacGinty landed four conversions while Carreras slotted over three conversions and a penalty. Carreras also scored a try. It was an intercept with him snatching the ball from a long pass from MacGinty. A Bristol try was on but instead, Carreras ran the length of the field to score.

The win set the Bristol Bears sitting two points outside of the top four on 40 competition points. The Northampton Saint lead the English Premiership with 49 while Gloucester are second from bottom on 26 points.
