Lucio Sordoni Scores Match-Winner for Glasgow Warriors against Cardiff

Lucio Sordoni touched down for a 54th minute try on Friday. The Puma scored the final try of the match. The Glasgow Warriors were 17-13 winners at home in Scotland against Cardiff. The try gave Glasgow the lead for the first, and only, time of the match.

Sordoni started the match at tight head prop. Fellow Puma Sebastián Cancelliere played on the right wing. Both players featured for Argentina in the 2023 Rugby Championship but either made Michael Cheika’s Rugby World Cup roster.

With the win the Glasgow Warriors are presently tied for top spot of the United Rugby Championship (URC). The Glasgow Warriors and Leinster both have 44 competition points.

Sordoni was recently part of Los Pumas’ training camp in London. New Head Coach Felipe Contepomi assembled a 31-man roster. Sordoni was one of three tight head props. The others were Joel Sclavi (La Rochelle, FR) and Eduardo Bello (Newcastle Falcons, UK). Both played at the World Cup.
