Felipe Contepomi adds Bradley Mooar to his Coaching Staff

Felipe Contepomi’s coaching staff has undergone an alteration. Days out of Los Pumas’ London Training Camp, Contepomi has added Bradley Mooar to his staff. Mooar will be attack coach. He joins former Pumas Andrés Bordoy and Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe as assistant coaches to Hall of Famer Felipe Contepomi.

Mooar is an example of a former player who has excelled greatly in his coaching days. He played fly half in New Zealand for Canterbury B and Mid-Canterbury. He won the national third division title with the latter in 1998. He is a native of Christchurch. He takes up his new post with the UAR at the age of 49.

Mooar began coaching in 2007. In 2011 he worked with the Canterbury Colts. The following year he stepped away from his career in Law to coach the Eastern Province Kings in South Africa’s Currie Cup first division.

Subsequent coaching roles saw Mooar coaching Southland (2014-2015) in New Zealand, and then backs coach of the Crusaders. During this time the Crusaders were 2017, 2018 and 2019 Super Rugby champions.

He moved to Europe to join the Scarlets in 2019. In 2022 he returned home to work with Ian Foster s backs and attack coach from 2020-2022. In 2023, he worked with Scotland also as attack coach.
