USA Conquer Canada for Bronze in Los Angeles

New Zealand are the 2024 Women’s champions of the Los Angeles Sevens. Michaela Blyde’s scored a hat-trick as New Zealand overcame Australia 29-14 for Gold in the Final. The Bronze Final was all North American with he USA defeating Canada 21-7.

Both New Zealand and Australia were unbeaten ahead of the Women’s Final in Los Angeles. Australia reached the final with a 26-19 win over the USA. It came with Faith Nathan scoring a late try to qualify for the final.

New Zealand were comfortable winners over Canada in their Semi Final. The 31-12 win was set-up with a 19-0 first-half scoreline. Sophie De Goede scored twice for the Canadians in the second-half but two further New Zealand tries made it a Tasman Sea Final.

The Bronze Final saw the speed of Naya Tapper and Steph Rovetti as well as a penalty try combining for the USA’s 21-7 win. Canada’s try was scored by Krissy Scurfield.
