Juan Martín González Shines Bright in Saracens win over Newcastle Falcons

Juan Martín González closed out 2023 with another strong performance. The Pumas flanker from Mendoza was a try scorer in Saracens’ 37-19 win over the Newcastle Falcons.

The 10th round fixture of the English Premiership season saw a one-on-one battle of Pumas. González started in the 6 shirt for Saracens while Pedro Rubiolo was his opposite. It was Rubiolo tackling González when he entered the try zone for his score.

The match was a lo tighter than the scoreline suggests. Newcastle held a 16-15 lead but were beaten cleanly in the second-half.

González was joined by fellow Puma Lucio Cinti in the Saracens team. Cinti was close to scoring a try on two occasions, once in each half. Rubiolo played alongside Pumas Eduardo Bello, Matías Moroni and Matías Orlando.
