Ardron signs two-year extension with Castres

Tyler Ardron has signed a two-year contract extension with Castres that will see him stay at the French Top 14 club through the end of the 2025-2026 season. The 32-year-old joined the club in 2020 after spending three seasons playing Super Rugby in New Zealand with the Chiefs.

A knee injury sidelined Ardron for several months in 2022 but since recovering he has been a mainstay in the Castres starting lineup. This season has seen the former Canada captain in top form, recently earning a nomination for Top 14 Player of the Week.

While his club future is settled, it remains to be seen if Ardron will make a return at international level. Since leading the team at the 2019 World Cup he has played just once for Canada. Last year he declared his intention to put his test career on hold to focus on club rugby.
