Greg Peterson signs short-term deal with Glasgow Warriors

Greg Peterson has signed a short-term contract with the Glasgow Warriors. The US Eagles lock has agreed to return to the United Rugby Championship side as they manage the returns of their Scotland internationals, and deal with a recent season-ending knee injury to JP du Preez.

It’s the second spell with Glasgow for the 32-year-old, who spent three-and-a-half years in Scotland after signing on from Leicester Tigers. Peterson then enjoyed a six month stay in Bordeaux before moving to Newcastle Falcons in 2019, departing the English Premiership club earlier this year.

More recently Peterson captained the Eagles during their summer tests against Romania, Portugal, and Georgia. He has been linked with a move to the expansion Miami Sharks of Major League Rugby, and the length of the new deal suggests that the move stateside is still in the plans.
