Argentina to wear away kits against Japan in Must-Win World Cup Clash

Argentina will not be playing in the traditional white and sky-blue hoops against Japan. The must-win Rugby World Cup match in Nantes on Sunday will see Los Pumas wearing their away kits. Japan will wear their traditional white and red hooped kits with Argentina playing in their dark blue alternative strip.

The teams go in to the match both with 9 points. The teams both lost to England but also both defeated Samoa and Chile. Moreover, the wins over Samoa were without a bonus point but the wins over Chile both included a bonus point.

The winner of Argentina vs Japan will thus qualify for the Quarter Finals. That team will join England in advancing from Pool D. England has 14 points after three matches played. The Rugby World Cup 2003 champions face Samoa in their final pool match.

Pictured below is Argentina’s team photo ahead of the first appearance in the away strip. It was against South Africa in Buenos Aires on August 05. This Sunday will see the alternative uniform debuting at a Rugby World Cup.
