Miami Sharks to play home games in Fort Lauderdale

The Miami Sharks will play their home games during their inaugural Major League Rugby season at AutoNation Field in Fort Lauderdale. A media release from soccer club Inter Miami CF and their Florida Blue Training Center unveiled the news on Friday.

AutoNation Field is located directly adjacent to Inter Miami’s 19,000 seat DRV Pink Stadium. It’s a full-size turf pitch with washroom facilities and concession stands, and will see its seating capacity upgraded from 1,500 to around 5,000 in time for the 2024 season.

The agreement between the Sharks and Inter Miami also gives the rugby side access to the state-of-the-art training center. Florida Blue’s grounds include six grass pitches, a gym, and a full-size cafeteria.
