Spain have confirmed a 24-man roster for the upcoming test match. Los Leones take on Argentina in Madrid in a warm-up match ahead of the World Cup. It will be Argentina’s final match before the World Cup itself.

Additional Argentines will play in the World Cup for Italy. Spain will not feature in the tournament but did in fact qualify. Eligibility problems saw Spain’s exit, though World Rugby’s handling of eligibility has been highly controversial.

Spain’s u20’s recently won the Junior World Trophy. Spain did so by defeating Uruguay in a thrilling final. The result saw Spain winning promotion to the 2024 World u20 Championship. Players from the Junior World Trophy have earned a call-up to Los Leones.
Captain Álvaro García is one player now on the senior roster another is Ignacio Piñeiro. Meanwhile, Guillermo Moretón, John Wessel Bell and Matt Foulds have earned recalls.
The Match will be the fifth test match between Spain and Argentina. Los Pumas are unbeaten against Los Leones. Argentina won 28-19 in Madrid (ES) in 1982, 40-12 in mar del Plata (AR) in 1987, 38-10 in Buenos Aires (AR) in 1991 and 43-34 in Madrid (ES) in 1992.
