Europe Notes – Americas Player Transfers

Player transfers continue during the European off-season. While all eyes are on Rugby World Cup preparations teams continue to assemble their rosters for the 2023-2023 season. There have been recent Argentine transfers within Europe.


Former Pumas fly half Domingo Miotti will remain in Scotland. The Tucumán play-maker has signed a new contract with the Glasgow Warriors. While his test career has been paused since 2021, the 27-year-old will be around for a long time yet unlike Nicolás Sánchez and Benjamín Urdapilleta. The former is linked to a move to the Miami Sharks in MLR while the later has joined Clermont from Castres.

23-year-old Lucio Cinti has made the move from London Irish to Saracens. Cinti is a versatile player with starts for Argentina at outside center and on the wing. London Irish also started him at fullback. He will play inside center against New Zealand on Saturday in Mendoza.

Agustín Creevy has extended the twilight of his career. With the collapse of London Irish, Creevy was not ready to call it a day; instead, the Pumas hooker will play for Sale Sharks. Creevy will earn his 98th set cap against New Zealand in Mendoza. He is the most capped Puma in history.

30-year old Sebastián Poet makes the move from France to Spain. Poet will play for Real Ciencias. The product of Club Atlético Rosario played Argentina in 2013 against Brazil, Chile and Uruguay. He moved to France in 2015 where he played Pro D2. His clubs include Tarbes, Charente, Colomiers and Bressane.

Prop Joaquín Rodon Morello is transferring from Nationale side Dax to Salles. The uncapped prop makes the move to the Fédérale 1 club at the age of 27.
