World Cup star Hope Rogers and strong-running midfielder Emily Henrich have been ruled out of the Eagles squad for the Pacific Four due to injury. Both were initially included in the final roster of 30 to compete against Australia and New Zealand in Ottawa.
Rich Ashfield has called up Mona Lisa Tupou and Meya Bizer as replacements. Second row Tupou joins Freda Tafuna and Taina Fukuafu in immediate promotion from the u23 side. Beantown prop Erica Jarrell is the only other uncapped inclusion.
Bizer, a versatile back, was part of the World Cup squad and is one of 16 England-based players in the group. Rogers was recently named in the Premier 15s Team of the Season along with Eagles captain Kate Zackary. The latter is expected to suit up in the back row though it was at center where she earned selection to the honorary side.
The Eagles were defeated 50-17 by Canada on April 1 in Madrid. They will square off against Australia on Saturday, and World Cup champions New Zealand next Friday.
