Chile XV Ready to face California Grizzlies

The Chile XV are ready to return to action. The next-of-XV has named a 52-man roster to face the California Grizzlies. The roster includes a handful of names from Selknam. Some may yet be included on the roster already preparing for the World Cup.

The Chile XV roster includes Selknam players Andrés Kuzmanic, Simón Donoso, Bruno Sáez, Jorge Delgado and Diego Warnken. In addition u20 players Martín Escobar, Sebastián Bianchi and Iñaki Tuset.

There are also opportunities for some looking to return. Of note is American Raptors front-rower Sebastián Otero, Tomás Salas and Inti Ubeda. Ubeda last represented Chile in 2016.

The Chile XV are preparing at the Ciudad Deportiva facilities at the Universidad San Sebastián. The series of three matches against the California Grizzlies will take place on July 05, 09 and 12. The California Grizzlies are based in San Francisco.

The most recent Chile XV fixture was also against USA opposition. The Chile XV faced the USA Hawks in March. The South Americans were 41-26 winners at home in Santiago.
