Pumitas feast on USA Hawks in Charlotte

The Argentina u20’s side, Los Pumitas, feasted on the USA Hawks. Played on Friday, the second of two matches between the teams, Los Pumitas were 26-0 winners in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The 26-0 win followed the 33-12 win on April 15. The tour is part of Argentina’s preparations for the 2023 U20 World Championship. While Los Pumitas are an age-grade defined side, the USA Hawks are a team of adults.

Game two was slow to start but the second-half was all about Álvaro Galindo’s side. The shutout victory came after the teams were locked at a 0-0 half-time scoreline.

Franco Rossetto, Benjamín Grondona, Genaro Podestá, Maximiliano Fiscella all touched down in the try zone. Valentino Dicapua landed three out of his four conversion attempts.

The tour is part of Argentina’s preparations for the 2023 World Rugby Under 20 Championship. The tournament will take place in June and July. Argentina will face Georgia, Italy, and hosts South Africa in Pool C.
