Bautista Ezcurra Out of Action

Bautista Ezcurra is out of action. The Argentine center will not play again this season. He has been ruled out of the final three rounds of the Pro D2 season. He will also miss out on possible play-off’s and promotion matches.

Bautista Ezcurra is out with a broken wrist. He was injured playing for Grenoble against Charente last month. His recovery time will see him not play again until the 2023-2024 season. He is contracted to the club on a long-term deal.

His return could yet be in the Top 14. With three rounds remaining Grenoble sit in second position of the Pro D2. Grenoble have 79 points, six more than the third placed Mont de Marsan. Oyonnax are top of the table with 97 points.

The younger of the Ezcurra brothers, both Bautista and Felipe are Pumas. Felipe Ezcurra played at Rugby World Cup 2023. The scrum-half has 16 caps for Argentina while Bautista Ezcurra has 5. Both played Super Rugby for Los Jaguares before continuing their careers abroad. Bautista Ezcurra also played for Rugby ATL in Major League Rugby.

The 2022-2023 season saw Bautista Ezcurra being a very busy player for Grenoble. He played in 16 Pro D2 matches for the team.
