Kyle Baillie set to join Old Glory DC

Old Glory have moved quickly to find a replacement for second row Stan South. With the vice-captain suffering a season-ending injury, DC have acquired Kyle Baillie from the Toronto Arrows.

A Major League Rugby stalwart since arriving in New Orleans in 2019, the 6’5″ (1.95m) and 245lbs (112kg) Baillie captained the Gold before making the switch to the Arrows last season. He would appear in 10 games including 7 starts, covering both lock and blindside flanker.

Though he was not part of Toronto’s plans this season, the Arrows will receive salary cap considerations in next year’s campaign in exchange for Baillie’s rights. The Prince Edward Island native won his 35th cap for Canada in November and will celebrate his 32nd birthday early next month.
