LA Sevens – Final Americas Rosters

The World Sevens Series returns this weekend in Los Angeles. It’s back to Dignity Health Sports Park for the second time in less than six months. Once again it will feature only men’s sides, with the women to return next weekend in Vancouver.

Through five stops on this year’s 11-event circuit it’s New Zealand who are ahead of the pack. Six teams from ranks 3 through 8 are within six points of each other. Only the top four will earn automatic  spots in next year’s Paris Olympics.

Argentina are the highest-ranked Americas side at the moment in 6th spot, and are just one point ahead of the 7th-placed USA. Uruguay hold 11th place in their first year as a core team and are a full 10 points ahead of 14th-placed Canada. Chile will also compete in LA as an invitational side.

The two-day tournament begins on Saturday. All matches will be broadcast live on Peacock in the USA, CBC Sports online in Canada, and ESPN in Latin America.

A complete fixture list can be seen here.
