San Diego re-signs Fijian lock Jale Railala

The San Diego Legion have confirmed the return of Jale Railala. A late arrival during the 2022 campaign, the 26-year-old Fijian lock will be available for the entirety of the new season.

Railala debuted in San Diego’s 11th game of the season and would then appear in their 7 remaining matches including the playoff against Seattle. The 6’5″ (1.96m) specimen was most effective in collisions, with powerful ball carrying and thunderous tackles.

The Legion will have to be flexible with their match day selection this season. All four second row specialists – including Ben Grant, Tom Franklin, and Isaac Ross – are classed as imports. Loose forwards Chris Turori and Tevita Tameilau could be used as domestic options.
