Os Cobras’ player roster has grown by one. Donnacha Byrne has joined the Brazilian team from Ireland. He will play for the franchise in Super Rugby Americas 2023. Byrne is to be the first Irishman to play professional rugby for the Brazilian team.

The 21-year-old has arrived in São Paulo. He joins 36 players presently on the roster. Spanish hooker Diego Vidal is eligible for Brazil as is New Zealand second-rower Ben Donald.
