Chicago signs USA Falcons prop Mika Felix

The Chicago Hounds have added some youth to their front row stocks. Mika Felix has signed on for the inaugural campaign. The 21-year-old prop is born and raised in New Zealand where he played for Sydenham in Christchurch. He qualifies for the USA through his American father.

Felix was on the books for Austin last season and took the field in the preseason but is yet to make his Major League Rugby debut. Having previously been selected for the USA u20s, he traveled to Montevideo with the USA Falcons this past October.

Primarily a tighthead prop, Felix played loosehead for the Falcons and can also fill in at hooker if needed. He joins LaRome White, Charlie Abel, and Paddy Ryan as confirmed props thus far. An overseas arrival is expected to bolster the squad in the coming days.
