Arrows book preseason game with Ironworkers

The Toronto Arrows have confirmed a second warmup game ahead of the 2023 Major League Rugby season. With a match against Old Glory on February 10 already unveiled, the team will open their preseason account with another indoor tilt against the New York Ironworkers on January 27. It will be played at the Legacy Center in Brighton, Michigan.

Meanwhile the club has named a group of five senior academy players who will train with the senior squad this year. The quintet has been given the ‘high performance’ designation to distinguish them from other academy members. All have represented Canada at age-grade level.

National under-20 graduates are hooker David Scollon, lock or loose forward Hank Stevenson, and midfielder Jacob Ince. No8 Thomas Artmann and versatile back Brenden Black have appeared for Canada’s under-18 side. Stevenson has been part of the senior academy group since 2021.
