Seawolves sign former Otago flanker Charles Elton

The Seattle Seawolves have signed blindside flanker Charles Elton for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. An experienced provincial player from New Zealand, he spent the past year suiting up for Eastern Suburbs in Australia’s Shute Shield.

Elton has been a long-time captain of the Harbour Hawks, playing over 100 games for the Dunedin-based club. He has represented North Otago since 2019, and earned a starting spot on Otago’s senior NPC lineup in 2020 after captaining their B side.

Seattle now boast impressive depth in the back row, with Ronan Foley acquired from the Arrows and Ireland age-grade international Neal Moylett picked in the Collegiate Draft. Ben Landry, Tommy Clark, Nakai Penny, and Riekert Hattingh are all returning.
