Mateo Carreras is the leading try scorer in the 2022-2023 English Premiership. The Tucumano scored a hat-trick for the Newcastle Falcons against the Leicester Tigers on Saturday. His three tries take his season tally up to 11. This is two more than the second placed Max Mallins.
Mateo Carreras’ three tries all came in the first half. His hat-trick was joined by a try to fellow Puma Matías Moroni in the second-half. Moroni joined Newcastle this season after having won the English Premiership title last season with the Leicester Tigers.
