Old Glory signs versatile back Marcos Young

Old Glory DC have signed versatile back Marcos Young for the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old arrives from Buenos Aires club CUBA, having spent the past two seasons playing in Argentina’s elite URBA Top 13 club competition.

Young grew up in Miami and played his club rugby for Key Biscayne. He has played for several USA age-grade teams with the Eagle Impact Rugby Academy and High School All-Americans. More recently Young was part of Rugby ATL’s Pathway 404 development program.

While primarily a winger for CUBA, Young can play across the backline. At High School level he played flyhalf and lined up in the midfield for ATL in an intra-squad match two years ago. Young is most likely to be used in the outside backs for Old Glory and gives them another domestic option.
