Thretton Palamo commits to another year with Old Glory

Thretton Palamo will play a fourth season with Old Glory DC. The 34-year-old midfielder has re-signed for the 2023 campaign, his fifth in Major League Rugby having lined up for the Houston SaberCats in 2019.

Injury sidelined Palamo for much of 2022, limiting him to just four appearances. He remains one of the league’s most intimidating ball carriers who routinely bends or breaks the gainline. Palamo won the most recent of his 19 USA Eagles caps against France at the 2019 World Cup.

William Talataina, Doug Fraser, and Junior Sa’u also return as midfield options for DC this coming season. A specialist newcomer is Fermín Martínez from Argentina. Others who could fill in at center include Canadian international Gradyn Bowd and former New Zealand 7s star Kurt Baker.
